July Events

Welcome to July! Summer is in full swing and we are loving all the sunshine! With 4th of July, there are plenty of events at the start of the month with fireworks and great food! Towards the end of the month, we are looking forward to all the free music across Middle Tennessee. Whatever events you choose to attend, we hope you have a safe and fun month!


July 4: 13th Annual Music City Hot Chicken Festival
East Park 
| Nashville

This free festival is a fun way to celebrate Nashville this 4th of July! The Fire Truck Parade begins at 10:30 that morning and the gates open at 11 am! Enjoy free Hot Chicken samples and all kinds of good stuff from local vendors!


July 5-8: Star Wars: A New Hope – In Concert with the Nashville Symphony

Schermerhorn Symphony Center | Nashville

Experience the wonder of Star Wars in a new way as the Nashville Symphony plays John Williams wonderful score! Tickets range in price from $63-$114.

Nashville Zoo | Nashville

Visit the Nashville Zoo as they turn themselves into a water wonderland! They will have game, slides, attractions and more! The zookeepers will be treating the animals to their own versions of frozen treats and the keepers will be giving talks at scheduled times! Admission to the event is included with Zoo admission!


July 12: Music on Main
Main Street in Portland 
| PortlandEnjoy free music on Main Street in Portland! Their free series continues with a July concert. More artists will plan on August 11th and September 8th. This month, you’ll love hearing the musical talent of Soul Soup!


July 13-14: Uncle Dave Macon Days
Cannonsburgh Village 
| Murfreesboro

Head over to the historic Cannonsburgh Village in Murfreesboro to celebrate Uncle Dave Macon and authentic old-time music! Artists such as Hogslop String Band, Rhonda Vincent, and the Glad City Rounders will be present, delighting the crowds! Tickets can be purchased for $10 per day or as a $20 2-day pass!


July 14: Kindred Dinners
Kindred Farm 
| Santa Fe

Kindred Farms hosts wonderful dinners designed to connect strangers and form friendships! Their chef, Steven Bailey crafts a 5-course meal featuring their produce and meat. They also partner with local breweries and wineries to serve a truly local meal! Tickets range from $95-$110 but are well worth it!


July 14: Shred It
Parks Office in Hendersonville 
| Hendersonville

Join the Parks staff in Hendersonville as the provide free and secure document shredding! On July 14th, from 9 am – 12 pm, you can bring your paper documents for free shredding! The event is being held at 305-B Indian Lake Blvd., Suite 220, Hendersonville.


July 20-22: 51st Annual Murfreesboro Antique Show
Middle Tennessee Expo Center 
| Murfreesboro

The Murfreesboro Antique Show is a gold mine for anyone dreaming of finding beautiful antiques! Vendors are coming in from all over the country to display their unique and beautiful wares. Admission is $7 and parking is free.


July 27-28: Bluegrass Along the Harpeth
Downtown Franklin 
| Franklin

Enjoy live music on Friday night and all day Saturday in Historic Downtown Franklin! Started in 1991, this festival is a fan favorite among locals! Plus, the festival is entirely free!
