Golf Courses

Most Dad’s heavily enjoy a day out on the links and Nashville has an abundance of well-kept golf courses. Try the Hermitage Golf Course on Old Hickory, it was voted the #1 public golf course in the state by Golf Digest. Other public and municipal golf courses in the area include Gaylord Springs Golf Links, Nashboro Golf Club, McCabe Golf Course and Percy Warner Golf Course.

Nashville Sounds

The Nashville Sounds is Nashville’s Minor League baseball team and they have a brand new stadium, First Tennessee Park, in downtown Nashville. Dad’s who love baseball really lucked out this Father’s Day! There is not only 1, but 2 home games this Sunday. There is a make-up game, making Sunday a double-header. The Nashville Sounds will be taking on The Round Rock Express of Texas at 1:05pm and there will be 2 seven-inning games. Free cameo hats will be given to the first 2,000 fans as well. Play Ball!

Gone Fishin’

Middle Tennessee is blessed with an abundance of water, and that means plenty of places to fish! Take dad to some of the best fishing spots in Tennessee. Try Percy Priest Lake, a picturesque place to catch a large number of fish. You can also check out the Cumberland River, many people do not think of the Cumberland as a place to fish, but it actually has a healthy population of bass and potential world-class catfish. Other places include Nices Mill, The Duck River, Long Hunter State Park, and Bedford County Lake.

Lane Motor Museum

Is your Father a car enthusiast? Make his day and take him to the Lane Motor Museum on Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville. The museum features over 150 unique cars and motorcycles from as early as the 1920s. There are cars from all over the world and are in running order when viewing. Take the time to see the changes in engineering throughout history all while making dad happy.

Wrap up the day of fun and treat Dad to an indulging steak dinner to thank him for all that he does. If you want ambiance, then go to Old Hickory Traditional Steakhouse in the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Some other places to consider would be Kayne prime, Bob’s Steak & Chophouse, and Morton’s.
