In an ongoing commitment to community support, PARKS is partnering with Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee for a unique pick-up service. Whether you are moving or are in charge of an estate, Goodwill will help you organize your items through a pick-up service. Call Goodwill When You’re Moving!

When your trusted PARKS agent has handed over the keys to your beautiful new home in Middle Tennessee, it’s time to call Goodwill. Why? They’ll take the stress out of moving, by collecting donated items including:

  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Books
  • Furniture
  • Toys
  • Sporting Goods
  • Tools
  • Glassware
  • Instruments
  • And so much more

If you do not plan on bringing all of these items to your new home, help out your local community instead by calling the Goodwill pick-up service. After all, Bob Parks did!

The best part is, the Goodwill professionals will come to your home to pick-up all your belongings. You don’t have to drive anywhere! All of your donations are tax deductible, and receipts will be given out at pick up.

Estate Pick-Up Services Available, Too!

In the situation that you are helping a loved one move or taking care of the estate after a family member has passed away, Goodwill can assist during this difficult situation as well. The Goodwill Estate Pick-Up program will:

  • Itemize, pack and remove your donations from the property.
  • Provide an itemized inventory donation receipt.
  • Take all eligible items for donation.

Supporting the Mission of Goodwill

Goodwill sells donated goods with the purpose of providing employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities or have trouble finding and keeping jobs. PARKS supports Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee and will continue to help benefit our local communities.

When you are moving into your new home in Middle Tennessee, don’t forget to schedule your donation pick-up with Goodwill! You’ll feel great knowing that you’ve helped your community and have a lighter load to move, all at the same time.

Why Did We Rebrand?

Why Did We Rebrand?

Have you heard the news? Bob Parks Realty has welcomed a new CEO and has rebranded to Parks.

Over the past 40 years, the Middle Tennessee community has come to know our yellow and red logo, our devoted real estate agents, and our company. However, a lot has changed in just four short decades — from vast technological improvements to the needs of our real estate customers. With this in mind, we decided that we were ready to embrace change and developed a new company brand.

Introducing Parks

While we’ve traded in our yellow and red for navy and white, simplified our name to Parks, and ushered in Christie Wilson as our new CEO, we are confident that our new brand will assist our team in becoming the cornerstone of real estate across the greater Middle Tennessee area.

We have kept the signature ‘P’ in our logo for several reasons, as it first and foremost represents what we are:

  • Parks
  • Pacesetters
  • Premier real estate firm
  • A progressive real estate firm focused on people

A Brand and Future Focused On Customers

As we continue on and begin this new chapter, our customers can expect to receive the same elite level of service for which our company is known. The colors of our logo and company name may change, but our commitment to customers is unwavering.

Purchasing or selling a home is one of the largest investments you’ll make in a lifetime, and Parks is here to help. While our company embraces several changes, we hope you’ll join us in this exciting time.

Be on the lookout for the new Parks brand and logo on signs around your Middle Tennessee neighborhoods!

Parks Welcomes Christie Wilson as New CEO

Parks Welcomes Christie Wilson as New CEO

Parks is ushering in a wave of excitement as Christie Wilson joins the team as CEO. As one of the largest and most active professional residential real estate firms in Middle Tennessee, Wilson’s addition brings new opportunities for growth and development.

“It is exciting to welcome Christie to this leadership role. I have known Christie for many years and highly respect the work she has done as a Realtor and leadership she provides for this profession, far beyond what she did with her own company,” Bob Parks said. “I look forward to working with her to grow and expand our company.”

While beginning her new role, Wilson plans to spend several weeks participating in a  “listening tour”, speaking with the managing brokers of Parks offices throughout Middle Tennessee, and hosting both individual and group meetings with many Parks agents. Upon becoming acclimated with the firm, Wilson will begin to develop a clear strategic plan to guide Parks through future growth and development.

“It is a major complement to be given the opportunity to be CEO of Parks, and to work with – not just for – Bob Parks,” Wilson said. “We plan to build on the clear differentiation there is in how we serve clients and customers, and how we support those who represent the Parks brand.”

Adding Wilson as CEO is a testament to the client and agent dedication Parks is known for across Tennessee.

About Christie Wilson

Prior to joining Parks, Wilson was President and Owner of The Wilson Group Real Estate Services located in Nashville. In addition, Wilson is highly involved in the local and professional community. She has served as President of the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors in 2006, and has also served as a director of both the state and national Realtor boards.

Wilson is also active in local Middle Tennessee community service and charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville, the YWCA, Nashville Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and the Metro Sports Authority.

About Bob Parks

His residential real estate firm currently has 16 sales offices and over 550 agents operating in both Tennessee and Florida. Through his various other companies and entities, Parks is able to provide a wide and comprehensive array of real estate services. Interesting facts about auctions:

Did you know that auctions are sometimes the preferred method of sale for a property?  Did you know that there are two types of auctions?  I have to say no to both, I didn’t realize.  I always thought of auctions as a “last resort” kind of sale.  Last year about 70% of auctions were the owners’ first choice.

An auction is an immediate action.  You know that morning that your property will be sold that day, unless of course the reserve is not met, then you have a choice.  I’ll get to that in a minute.  But sometimes its just easier to have an auction.  Most of the time the auctioned property brings more than the expected return. Reasons for auctions?

  • You’ve already purchased another home

  • You’re an absentee land owner (perhaps you’ve inherited property but live in another city)

  • 1031 tax exchange where timing is an issue

  • A farm to be divided into multiple properties

Very seldom do we hold an auction due to foreclosure. Sometimes, we do auctions in lieu of foreclosure. Some of our best and most popular auctions are with unique properties. Those that have no comparables and will attract a large number of buyers.

Most properties are suitable for auctionBob Parks Auction Logo, but certainly not all are saleable by auction. Residential property, commercial property, vacant land, even boat slips are sold at auction. The majority of sound developments that can be marketed effectively do extremely well at auction.
